TELL THE WOLVES I’M HOME

“I stared hard, trying to find a pattern. Thinking if I kept looking hard enough, maybe the pieces of the world would fit back together into something I could understand.”

In this story of unrequited love, June chronicles her relationship with her Uncle Finn – an artist who has left traces of his life behind. In turn, she spends her days with a mysterious man from Finn’s past, who has stepped into her life for a very important reason…

“That’s different,” I said. And it was. A portrait is a picture where somebody gets to choose what you look like. How they want to see you. A camera catches whichever you happens to be there when it clicks.”

A novel told through the unique vision of Karin – an autistic woman – sheds light on humanity in all of its forms, the ethical treatment of tuna, and the comically poignant journey of a woman with a vision.

TIME OUT FROM THE WORLD:

A Meditation

The acrid scent of smoldering driftwood brought me closer to a vagrant way of life: a group of vagabonds wandering along the water’s edge – guided by constellations. The rolling waves curled around the rocks with fluid abandon – leaving a fresh slate of sand. To take time out from the world and note life, unraveling – giving clues – in constant flux. A place my mind yearns to stay.

Adopt an animal

I made a quick example for my students taking part in the Adopt An Animal Project for “It’s A Zoo Out There” – They truly did a nice job researching and making their posters uniquely their own.
