[a post from my dear friend Hilary – who’s grandmother just passed away]: Around 6 PM tonight, some of my grandmother’s ashes–combined with the ashes of her late husband (Rev. George Oakes)–were dispersed from one of the highest points in New Haven (East Rock Park.) A gust of wind approached as I sent them sailing– some landed on me, in that I could practically inhale them… This was a true sensory experience: The knowledge that my grandmother has made the ultimate journey; a divine eternal union with her beloved.
